During the negative space project, I went through multiple ideas about what do. So then I finally made a decision that I would do something that showed self expression. On my negative space I filled it with maps that I ripped out of map books. For my biggest negative space I made the map of Norfolk the biggest piece because that it where I live. And as I made more space I chose towns and such that mean a lot to me or have been apart of my life. At the end I asked for a critique because I didn’t know whether or not to color in the chair or the positive space but went against it because it would probably clash with the map colors. For the Bee hive project we drew 7 things that showed who we are and what makes us who we are, this was more of a personal thought to draw things that represent me. I think I struggled to choose one element that I wanted and wasn't organized with my drawings but that's something I will learn over the course of the year. My last project we did was the Still Life project was when we took paper bags and made them wet to make them have character. Drawing this was sort of easy for me but I did learn and make progress about shading and making reflections with charcoal pencil. The projects so far have been pretty easy and I have gotten them done quite fluently. But I am definitely up for more challenging projects in the future of this year.
